FYI: There is no need to purchase the "cash shop" items.
They are pretty much consumables that can be found exploring or purchased from NPC's for gold. Considering that you can get 150+ gold from a single goblin, you get plenty of gold quickly to take care of your character.

Again, there is ZERO need to buy the consumables for $$$--that is just for those that don't want to spend the extra little time actually playing the game.

its a sucker trap. People with more money then sense will buy it, and they make some free money.

You're right. There is no need, but they have "options" for other players. You also have no need to buy them, just like the rest of us.

Doesn't that make it worse in a way? Why are you charging money for stuff that can be earned with gameplay? What did they do to the normal gameplay to encourage people to pay rather than play to earn? And what about people who weren't aware there is a way to get this stuff without paying?

It's complete garbage. There is no reason to put this kind of thing in a single player game other than to take advantage of your audience.

If the idea is to have" options" to let people choose how to play then do it for free. Remember when games had cheat codes and you could just do what you wanted with them after you bought them? Why is that not a thing anymore if it's about giving options?

Suckers have rights too. Someone needs to protect them against themselves. You don't tempt an alcoholic with booze either. Oh wait.

The overall reviews is improving too at least. But yeah, the MTX situation is insanely stupid. But people are also outright lying about it as well by trying to make it look like the microtransactions are the literal only option for respec and stuff.

People are just quite frankly morons that don't think before being upset, it seems.

What's truly annoying is that these dishonest people are so hung up over the pointless MTX when the real issue they should be focusing on is the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ performance. Who cares about the microtransactions, which are required at all, when the performance of this game is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥? Outrage about that, so the devs ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fix performance lmao

depends on how you look at it

if you needed it, it would be worse because you must give them money or you will be punished in the way of a worse game

if you don't need it, you can ignore it as if it never existed, it does not affect you it does not harm you

People unaware you can get this stuff while playing, as you say it, would have not even played the game or visited a single shop or merchant. the first two available merchants have 90% of the "cash shop" items for sale for gold...

Lol people whining left and right about the "microtransactions" which are pretty much standard for all capcom games and are either cosmetic or time saves like in the RE series. It even explicitly warns you that all those items can be acquired through gameplay.
Tears of unfathomable sadness for literally just feeling important in these topics.

They shouldn't have existed in the first place regardless of how impactful they are.

At the end of the day this is a singleplayer game.

I was thinking about maybe buying DD2 if the game looked decent but honestly capcom lost me entirely with putting mtx in a singleplayer game. Yeah, I got way better games to play anyways until ER dlc comes out.

As long as items can be earned in game with a little more effort, I have no issues with transactions as an option. I've just started to play and have yet to see any onscreen prompts/Hud icons for the store while playing. Honestly I didn't even know there were any until I started to read here in forums.

honestly, they didn't do anything to the game. if people actually bother to turn on their brains and play it, they will immediately realize that they can acquire just about all the mtx in game and that there's no reason for them to buy any of the mtx at all.
