Climbing is part of the paid DLC.
But sometimes you can 'throw' your pawn across the cliff.
Also something to consider, your pawns can't jump over gaps to get to the other side, so if there's a fight at the upper level, they get really confused at the spot you jumped over and didn't know there's a ramp below on the other side of the area.
You can get double jump, or concussive jump to basically extend your range, and learn core skills which gives you 'active' out of combat moves to maneuver around the map.
However I don't know if it's usable for that as it's meant to catapult you on big enemys.
So far I was able to reach most high places by exploring (pawns gives some hints), usually you get some good rewards for getting there.
Some classes give you a boost in the jumping height , like the mage levitation but there is often a hidden way to reach those place, like yesterday before refunding, was exploring near a wall made out of rock and some stones and find a bunch of rocks who blocked a path but if you looked quick while exploring you wouldn't see that there was a path beyond the pile of stones.
Jokes aside there are Harpysnare Smoke Beacons, though they aren't exclusive to DLC.
But anyway, you use one to summon a friendly harpy, which you can grab hold of to have it fly yourself over to treasure that you may not be able to reach with skills.
However also going to say, Levitate is amazing and I've managed to reach everything with that so far, even managed to hit invisible walls on cliffs where we were never intended to reach.
Caves high up are usually exits(meaning you can enter it from different side which is easier to reach) and sometimes have a ladder that has to be activated from the top first.
Sometimes you can still reach them pretty easily by either using a harpy(there are items that lure them) or having a pawn with springboard skill and jumping off their shield up. In some cases you can also just throw your pawn and make him activate the ladder if there is one.
You can't climb terrain, but if you happen to lure large monster like cyclop you can also just climb it and jump from it, you can also carry some rocks as in tutorial and jump on them.
Just to note, there are two or three caves that are closed from the inside and the only way to open them is to lure mobs to destroy it from the other side, it sometimes matters which side you're entering from, so might not be worth sweating to get through the back.
