If you like Dragon Dogma 2 avoid DD2 subreddit and Discord server

For some strange reason owners and mods of both DD2 subreddit and its accompanying Discord server are actively trashing, hating and misinterpreting the game.

Encouraging hate for the game, down-votes, and actively telling people not to play the game.

They are also banning and muting anyone who dares to defend the game.

Why would a group of haters open and manage that game subreddit and discord server is a good question? What are their motives?

If I was Capcom , i would certanly take action against that.

In any case if you play and like this game, stay away from that Discord and Subreddit.

That's just a huge problem with Reddit in general. It's why I don't use it period.

Ah yes, any dissent must be specifically targeted and malicious and can't possibly be because of the optimization issues that Capcom themselves have admitted to.

Similar issues with a lot of Official Discords too. Community managers are often... how to put this... THAT type of person... so rules typically only swing one way and not the other.

Much better on separate discords in most cases.

This board is an absolute festering pit of screeching morons and trolls... and Reddit is the same but with fanatical tribalism layered on top. There is not going to be anything resembling intelligent discussion about this game for at least another month, so we'd better just buckle down and wait.

Social misfits and often literally mentally ill people who use their position as a power trip to only allow expression of which they personally approve? I don't know Discord because it always struck me as a red flag but Reddit is especially problematic because so much moderation power is concentrated in so few. I don't know if it's still the case but as of a few years back something like 75% of the top 500 subreddits were moderated by just four people. It's like their own personal little clique that somehow got control over one of the world's most popular websites and it's not at all healthy for the internet or free expression in general.

It been a decade and its STILL like that on souls forums, it never changes sadly. Taking community forums, especially ones as accessible as steam seriously its not worth it.

The game is a dumpster fire unptimized garbage with 20 fps experience and 70$ game with tons of microtransactions,
Thereby it deserves to be trashed.

I got banned from the discord because

1) I called a moderator "dude" when IT was a girl
2) i am new to the game and was asking for guidance in what to do.

I wouldn't recommend it at all
