Steam won't give me a refund

Never had this happen before, Steam won't refund this game. I meet the requirements and it runs horrifically, literally giving me a headache to play. Is anyone else experiencing this issue with Steam support?

I've gotten some that surpassed the 2 hours trial time, but I was honest in my reasons. It happened at least 3 times the only time I remember was with streets of rage sequel, I had close to 5 7 hours and only then did I read that the devs knew people cheated the highscores and planned to do nothing about it. Steam gave me back my money I'll never forget such a cool move

If you got special items like from the pre order or deluxe edition that might actually prevent you from refunding the game. New World had this same issue when my friend bought it. Since it automatically added "dlc" items to his game he was not allowed to refund it even when he had 5-10 mins in the game.

ive been denied twice for a refund because ive gone over the two hour mark, but it was only trying to fix the game and making a character. i have no save data and steam is refusing to refund me for a game that crashes on character creation each time. what a terrible experience

It's deliberately done to prevent refunds. If you read the fineprint on purchase it says due to receiving in-game currency or DLC items 'cannot be refunded'

They should prevent such practices or only allow the collection of such DLC after 2 hours of playtime to give people a chance to test the game and refund it as normal without being prevented from using that feature due to an add-on they can't untick

They won’t respond to mine I put it in March 20th and then redid it on March 21st still nothing as of today

Same, didnt even launch the game, and asked a refund when i read the performances and MTX. It's been 3 days, and still is being reviewed.

I've refunded games over 2 hours before, I've also refunded broken games that I put far more than 3 hours into trying to get them to work. Weird.

Does it make any difference to whether or not manual refund requests are accepted if you ask for the refund to go back into your steam wallet as opposed to your bank account?

I don't know how it wouldn't. I've always went with the assumption that steam needs to do a lot of bs to refund to a bank because banks are designed to ♥♥♥♥ everyone but themselves over. Crediting money spent on steam back onto your account doesn't require nearly as much work on their part, I would assume, and it's always the option I pick.
