These sites allegedly buy keys in bulk direct from the publisher.

Those are all grey market resellers. Allyouplay is listed under the official key seller on gg.deals.

CDKeys has been around for ages, BUT you will get the game on day of release and not before. I got my key about an hour after official release, which was 1am for me, so I set the download, intending to get up about 4am to play some but.... slept like a baby and just getting to play now.

I've used cdkeys in the past with no issues but I went with allyouplay since it was cheaper and under the legit key sellers list on gg.deals.

That's like a thief telling you that a conartist is legit.
Why would a site risk its reputation like that?
Because they have enough satisfied customers that drown out any complaints. If they can sell 100 cheaply acquired games at a small profit and screw over just 5 people; that's literally a £200 profit whilst 95 of those people are happy. They can even afford to bung content creators for some advertising on YouTube either with money or free copies. Some of these sites also sell wallet funds which are a non-profit service cheap and they sell the same key over and over making £20 a time. It's easy money and there's enough satisfied customers to keep the ones they've scammed at bay.

I used to use them but switched to gg.deals
Interestingly dragons dogma 2 doesn't have a listing for it being on sale on allyouplay there either.

I was talking about gg.deals. Why would they list allyouplay as a legit key seller on their site if they aren't and risk their reputation?

Man just use fanatical before release and kinguin after release and call it a day.
Quit worrying about it.

I figured they sold out of keys. The deluxe edition is on there still.

They don't list them as 'legit' - they track reputable retailers and also key sellers in which the latter can be toggled. The site simply tracks live API data across all sites that sell keys and doesn't state whether a site is 'legit' or not. All key resellers are the same conceptually anyway - there is no 'legit' definition and the risk is all on the consumer.

Update: Got a instant refund through their discord and was given a 20% discount code which was very nice of them.

I don't how they measure it but allyouplay is catogorized on their official store list.
