No way to restart a game
Is this a joke? Who thought this was a good idea? What happens if your save gets corrupted or you want to play the game from the beginning without steamrolling everything on NG+? Is $2 worth more than common sense these days?

There's a workaround. Capcom's decision for this is pants on head dumb but theres a work around.

>Disable cloud save
>Go to \Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\-your-user-number\2054970\remote\win64_save
>Delete or move files in folder and create back ups as you want

Technically that's how the game works. You play the one character to the end of the game. Then you will roll a new character for NG+.

This is exactly how DDDA worked too. You only get one real save too. This is Sparta.

People are going to keep posting this idiotic crap while missing the point. You are able to start a new game whenever you want in the original, this isn’t about just one save file.

You're confusing technical aspects of the game with design elements, but somehow still making a true point about it being technical lol

Having one real save, ironman style is fine.

The issue is not even being able to delete that save and start all over, you'll have to dig through files, go offline, etc... Just to start over.

i prefer multiple saves, save corruption is a killer.

You could restart the game at any point making a new save in DDDA. I don't know where you got your idea from.

No, it's just their money hungry greed showing. And people still continue to play this? I wouldn't even continue. I'd ask for a refund. That's just me though.

To put it simply, it's not a design choice to not give the player a button that says "start new game" and force players to root into file directories to delete save data and start again.

Look, kids, you can delete your character and start over. Once you create your character, you are stuck with the single save that you control. You also get a save point save that you don't really control.

I don't understand how this is hard for you to comprehend, but this is exactly the same thing they did in DDDA. You did play the first game, right?

On the contrary, it is a design choice that is maliciously designed to force players to interact with their garbage MTX systems.

The entire concept here is that you play through with one character and one pawn. Kind of like how the boardgame Gloomhaven works. Play until you retire the character, then start a new character.

Impossible with cloud saves on.

You'll notice nobody ever responds to this point with anything other than the stupid workaround.

The fact that a New Game button while a save is already present is somehow something that the preceding game that is TWELVE YEARS OLD AT THIS POINT had but this newer sequel doesn't still flies over people's heads makes me weep for the future of gaming.

What's next that will be acceptable to not have?

Impossible how? Pretty sure my cloud saves with DDDA on Steam, on Xbox 360, on PS4, on PS5, on Switch with DDDA confine me to the same situation. This system of saving games has been around for 10 years.
