Can't get "Hawker" Pawn Specialization to work
Hawker is supposed to let you sell items to the pawn, but I can't an option for it anywhere and there is no logbook entry.

I've tried looking in items on my Arisen sheet, on the Pawn's item sheet, in the Pawn's status pages, under equipment, I've tried talking to the pawn but neither small talk nor matters of import does it, and I've even tried dropping items from the Pawn's inventory in case it triggers there but still no luck.

I know that some Specializations work automatically, cause I originally had a Pawn that would constantly combine items but then I decided to get rid of them for reasons.

"Offer to purchase a selection of items from the inventory for a fair sum of gold."

So your pawn has that Specialization active, or a Pawn from the Rift does?

It is not clear from that description how it works; do they mean from YOUR inventory or from the Pawn's? But you apparently can't get it to work either way?

I once got it to work, took pretty much all items from all pawns into arisens inventory, went way overencumbered and then talked to the hawker pawn - he sold a lot and I was down to maybe 10 something weight again! he really sold almost everything other than quest items, worn equipment and a few other things and I got around 10k gold for that on the road..

I wasnt able to replicate that with my new hawker pawn though, tried it at night, then tried at day, tried at heavy, very heavy, overencumbered but didnt work again yet :steamdeadpan: will try a few other things some time like next to a firecamp maybe, but would be great if anyone else found out more and could share their knowledge

I think if we get this to work reliably it would be really nice

I just got it to work again!! :BErainbow: - arisen was way overencumbered, it was daytime at a campfire, then talked to hawker, then I got the option: "Sell items", sold almost everything in inventory of arisen, got just about 10k gold again and was at around 10 weight after that - perhaps anyone else can try that and see if it works?

would also recommend keeping healing potions, ferrystones, wakestones and all the other essentials on your main pawns inventory for the moment when using hawker as sell option.. just in case they would buy that off you as well because it is automatically chosen which items are sold and which not... though I do not have a detailed list

Ah, thank you, Neti.

That clears up what I wondered about Hawker.

Hawker specialization isn't really worth it and only prompts when you are carrying too much items. It sold my bunches of flowers on me.

I suggest avoid it.

the best specializations for me are chirurgeon and forager. Forager because it will show you the locations for materials you need for upgrading your gear. Chirurgeon because just drop all those different potions and healing items or even spell books in that pawn's inventory and it will do everything for your party like literally heal everyone or cure that debuff. You can run with 4 sorcerers never needing a mage lol.
