Blocking Reshade?
Is Capcon blocking the use of Reshade?

I got it setup, and its working but the second the game hits the Capcon logo on boot up it crashes.

Even loads all of the shaders in, just the game resfuses to not crash never seen that before on a game.

yea, same happen to me

could just be the fact not all games support it, till reshad has a patch.
I doubt they care, its likely just a comparability issue

I wonder if there is a way in the files to apply the "dark" filter in the photo mode to the game. Makes it look way better in terms of color. If anyone finds a way let me know! :praisesun:
temp solution:

browse dragons dogma 2 files, there is a shader cache file there.

Delete this file

Start Dragons Dogma 2

Ok glad I am not the only one, thanks!

Ya this game def needs a bit more saturation. It's just a pinch too grey-scaled for a fantasy game IMO. Can't even use the Nvidia overlay either... And thats a last ditch effort xD

this game is so poorly optimized with its FPS i dont even want to THINK about using Reshade yet

Hey. Just wanted to point out that it's probably the same thing that happens with Street fighter 6. It has something to do with the RE engine both games use. For Street fighter 6, the modding community released something called RE framework that you need to have in order for reshape to work. You can find it on Nexus mods. However, I tried the one that is specifically meant for Street fighter 6 and it doesn't work with DD2. We'll have to wait for someone to make a version specific to DD2.

Just use nvidias shader thing, that works. Unless you have amd, im sure they have something too.

For me it’s the vibrance and the black borders/bars that missing from the lack of use of Reshade.. if anyone know a way to add black bars like in reshade I’ll be thankful

It's finally working, guys. Going to post links here for everyone's convenience. The file fronm nexusmods isn't up-to-date yet, but the same developer posted the working version on his github 3 hours ago. Just download the DD2.zip, extract the files, grab dinput8.dll and paste it in the main Dragon's Dogma 2 folder. Reshade's dll should be in there as well.
NOTE: I posted all of his links to show that they're all his links, but currently the working REFramework is ONLY on the last link labeled "latest builds". Grab the DD2.zip from there.

This was happening to me for a toontown remaster and i ended up just messaging the reshade devs in their discord and they fixed it within a day.
