I'm running an RTX 2070, the frames were terrible, bricky, and unacceptable for 1993 when I started. (I play on a big TV in the living room). I set the max frames to 120, turned on V-Sync, disabled DLSS, and turned the textures to medium. I'm butter smooth. I think some of these idiots don't know what their options are for... Shamefur Dispray!...
Total War players were born in the low framerates, molded by them.
You can also go to https://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri to check if your pc can run the game.
Performance is pretty good for me, it's well playable with DLSS on and RT off and Shadows on Medium while everything else atleast on High.
As far as I know, DD2 is also a very cpu hungry game, so what CPU you use, will also play a huge role. In my case with a Ryzen 5800X and 32GB of Ram its running very well, with occasional frame drops, but nothing that would make it unplayable.
custom higher settings
r7 3700x
2080 super
32gb ram (total ram does go above 16gb and i only have discord, hwinfo64, and msi afterburner open)
samsung 970 evo plus
80fps in open world
55fps in towns
whenever fps does change i dont even perceive any stuttering at least its a smooth transition
in game resolution scaling options are HORRIBLE, not sure about amd users with frs but dynamic and dlss dont behave properly i literally get better performance in native 2k.
Ahh! A fellow Total War man, haha! ;)
