This game has very good performance. Potato PC people seething and review bombing
For what you're getting graphically, I'm really satisfied so far with the performance. This is especially true when compared to the console versions, which cannot hold 30fps. With a 4090, I have no problem staying over 90fps and 75-80 in villages. If you want to push frames, you HAVE to pay. Your old garbage hardware isn't going to guarantee you 60fps in new games anymore. Either upgrade or go to console.

Also, I am the first to call out a game for unacceptable performance like Jedi Survivor. This ain't that.

How about you make a video then and show how good your game runs in a camp/village/city? I play on 1080 with fps capped to 60 with DLSS Quality with a 3070, i7-10700KF, 32GB RAM, SSD, Win 10 (recommended PC). Here a short video I did of the first little camp: https://youtu.be/CljolufZdgs

Now show your performance.

I've been playing with a 4090 and a i913900k and i've had smooth framerate at 60, although with this type of PC I would hope so but I haven't gotten to the big cities yet.

I have an RTX 4070 and AMD Ryzen 3600. Game is playing fine. But I did not like the gameplay, started as mage, so I just refunded

If a game NEEDS a 4090 to have acceptable performance, it's unoptimized ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. End of story. You nut huggers excusing these lazy developers are the reason we're all in this mess. Post some gameplay from one of the major cities, let's see your 90 FPS then.

3090 and a 5800X and I get 20fps in the first encampment.

3080 2K ultra setting +RT on without dlss average is around 60. low fps is around 25-30.

IDK about that, obviously I don't own the game. But it dose surprise me to hear about this poor performance. Given how great the RE Engine has been, at least in my experience. Not saying the game doesn't have issues or not. Again I don't own it (just not my cup of tea).

Exception being RE 8. But that was Capacom's crap DRM on top of denuvo causing it.

Mage is pretty dull very early one, unless you KNOW you will like it it's best to choose the other classes that being said all the classes are "dull" until you level them up to get access to all their skills.

I kindof agree. Ray trace on. DLSS full quality. max all..frames are pegged..dropping into 80's. Dont even notice unless im watching the number.

This is the first use of RE on an open world, fair to say it clearly wasn't ready for it.

I don't have high end pc but i get 80-90 fps in open world and around 60 in village/cities. All maxed out, dlss on quality of course. Looking good, i have no problem so far, they need to optimise village and city fps though.

Honestly I'm not surprised, the whole "PC Master Race" thing went from ironic meme into actual mentality over the years.

Any performance issues will always be excused with a "Works on my machine" and/or "Upgrade your hardware", it's how we get things like Starfield and the "The game is optimized, it's your PC" coming straight from Todd Howard's mouth...massive loading screen spam and all.

I'm prepared to get low fps in the big cities (we basically have the same rig) but I imagine we won't be spending THAT much time in them comparatively speaking
