Report a translation problem
I'm not at my computer now and I won't be for a while so I'm doing this from memory.
Go to your library, click on the game, click on the gear icon, then find the option that says something like "check file integrity", or something to that effect, and click on that.
The computer did its thing, scanned some files.. It might have done a reinstall. But, it looks like it just did a patch and an update which was not taking place on its own before I clicked that option.
I've tried the other things that people have suggested with deleting the crash file and that didn't do anything for me.
I hope this helps someone. Let me know if you got positive results.

I saw it in a dream after going to sleep pissed I couldnt play

and i tried every single possible solution from the simple restarting steam and reinstalling the game to literally reinstalling my graphics drive nothing works
sincerely i was already piss off just by seeing how much they remove on this second game and the downgrades , fps issues but now i m out
my sincerely recommendations ? grab your cash back and wait one year for them to fix this mess

I went over to mods nexus and downloaded the dragons dogma 2 extension for Vortex. I didn't install any mods except the minimum required, and it worked - yay!
