Game won't launch

Graphic driver is up to date (3/19)
Tried reinstall/reboot neither worked...
I see quite a few have the same issue. anyone know the solution?

I just got it for PS5, and it can't even get to the Start screen without freezing. If I skip that issue, it freezes at the next video (intro) and if I skip that one too it freezes at the Evacuation video, and finally if I skip all the areas of issue it freezes right better the actually movement in the game. About 15 times, so far. I restarted the PS5, same thing with no difference at all. Turned off the PS5, left it for a few minutes, tried again.. same thing.

I had some luck using the file repair function within the settings in the library in steam.

I'm not at my computer now and I won't be for a while so I'm doing this from memory.

Go to your library, click on the game, click on the gear icon, then find the option that says something like "check file integrity", or something to that effect, and click on that.

The computer did its thing, scanned some files.. It might have done a reinstall. But, it looks like it just did a patch and an update which was not taking place on its own before I clicked that option.

I've tried the other things that people have suggested with deleting the crash file and that didn't do anything for me.

I hope this helps someone. Let me know if you got positive results.

When I deleted the Crashreprot.exe file in the local folder, the game ran.

Then just try to launching a game. It might or not give you borderless or full screen resolution. It will say compling shaders. Just wait few mins and be patient. Give a 5 to 10 mins minimum or more.

Finally the screen you can adjust settings. Good Luck!!!

i have a 4070
16 gb ram 3500 mhz
ryzen 5 forth generation
and i tried every single possible solution from the simple restarting steam and reinstalling the game to literally reinstalling my graphics drive nothing works

sincerely i was already piss off just by seeing how much they remove on this second game and the downgrades , fps issues but now i m out
my sincerely recommendations ? grab your cash back and wait one year for them to fix this mess

I hope this helps someone. I had the same problem as OP.

I went over to mods nexus and downloaded the dragons dogma 2 extension for Vortex. I didn't install any mods except the minimum required, and it worked - yay!
