Wait.. how do you start a new game?

I already realized i messed up both my ch aracter and my pawn, so i wanted to start a new game.. but the title screen is just 'load game from last save' and 'load game from last rest' how do i delete that save and start fresh?

If it's like DD1, then just back out and start new game. It should warn you that you're going to override previous saves.
Edit: also, if it's like DD1 then once you beat the game you can change the way you and your pawn look.

cool... how do i do that? there is no 'new game' option, just 2 loads, options, store, and quit

You can buy an item in the Steam DLC store that lets you change your appearance

I have no idea why games keep trying this stupid single save thing, it just pisses people off. and now i am seeing some of these games without a way to delete that save and start over, they are doubling down on a broken system because gamers dont want it. i bet they are going to have a reset dlc to purchase...

Yeah never mind, I tried and can only find the cloud save in Seam\userdata. Can't find a save file and it won't let you start a new game. This is an odd choice.

No it isn't, this is a 'buy a 3 dollar DLC' choice.

Found it. First turn off cloud save function by right clicking DD2 name in your library. Go into windows and look for steam folder, usually C:\Program Files(x68)\Steam\userdata\*bunch of numbers, mine was 71844652\another set of numbers, mine was 2054970\remote. Look for win64_save and delete everything in that folder. You'll start from scratch.

I made a desktop shortcut so i can make multi characters or switch them whenever i want

When you delete ALL files, you lose any of the character creator saves, from what I can tell. When I deleted all but the "SS1_data###.bin" files, it let me start a new game but also import any CC characters I made in the past couple weeks.

So it seems "data00-1.bin" is the game settings (so you don't have to reconfig it every time you launch), and the SS1_data###.bin files are character creator saves.

The "data000.bin" and "data001Slot.bin" seem to be the files I can move freely and load different characters this time.

There Isn't a new game option, I recommend a refund, this is a cash grab.
