I can't believe we're at the point where gamers are defending micro transactions with "you aren't a real gamer unless you've come to accept every game trying to nickle and dime you"
It's so sad to see how demorilized people gotten

It is not pay to win, you can get this stuff in the game. It is also a singleplayer game, give it a rest. I just won't buy it, easy as that.

White knights rushing to the defense of the company that doesn't care about them is funnyu.

Ignore the whole Rift crystals in the DLC store; you'll be rolling in that stuff in-game eventually.

It's Capcom just trying to capitalize on the truly lazy.

I wonder if you heard or remember how Shadow of War, sequel to Shadow of Mordor, released with (optional) paid lootboxes that gave you orcs and gear to completely skip the grind in a single player game. Sure you can say its optional and never buy them but the game was specifically designed, especially for the endgame, to ease you ever so closer to buying those legendary orc crates. That statement about how microtransactions don't affect the flow of gameplay and progression in game and are entirely "optional" does not apply when its been proven that devs/publishers will intentionally make a game grindier just to make you spend more to skip that tedious grind. And even after they removed the paid lootboxes a year after launch the game still had a terrible sense of balance and progression if you wanted to get through postgame and unlock the final cutscene of the game due to the fact that the game was built from the ground up to function off of those lootboxes.

I can't believe you bought a cheeseburger expecting it to taste like strawberry ice cream. Its a Capcom game and it's what they do. I just got done with my play session tonight and its literally the same type of stuff they sell in their other games. Mostly stuff you don't need like cosmetics, and some booster currency you can use to hire pawns at a way higher level than your own. It's all basically harmless and in a single player game. No one but you seems to give a crap what people do in their single player video games. Grow up kid.

First off you really should take the time to learn what pay to win actually is lol. Second yeah its a little disheartening all the microtransactions but we have known about them for weeks now.
Pay to win, or pay to restart lol. It's basically the same thing now.

well if people learned how to read and had basic comprehension skills then people would see a note that state how everything can be found ingame and you dont need to pay for it.....................BUT they crossed that bridge yet and what pay to win are you referring to?
DaciValt Mar 21, 2024 @ 9:42pm
