As soon as they think that it will be profitable to release it. Dragon's Dogma 2 was green lit pretty much as soon as Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen proved to be a legitimate success story due to long tail sales.
If this game is to Dragon's Dogma what Mega Man 2 was to Mega Man, it might see as many sequels as Mega Man did.

Yeah. I wonder if Itsuno even feels there's much to add to the IP at this point besides better graphics, AI, etc., and if it's just scale. Seems like this one is his vision through and through.
