Play time?
we got this group of people talkin about 25 hours of time in the game.
This will be my first time playing a dragons dogma game, i'm assuming this is similar to how skyrim or elden ring is where, sure you can B line the main story in 5 hours but if you actually play the game you could be hitting well over 100 hours of content?

Pretty sure there's more than 25h to be had if not rushing.

100 hours if completionist, 25 hours rushing main storyline.

45 hours.

DO NOT, 100% DO NOT TRY TO "BEELINE" MAIN STORY. You will miss 95% of the games content. PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS, YOU WILL RUIN YOUR EXPERIENCE AND BE SAD!

Game's about the journey, not the destination.

just enjoy it at your own pace and have fun. other ppls opinion doesn't matter rn because it's not out yet

Everyone who reported sub fifty hours of gameplay also reported missing A LOT. For example Arrekkez Gaming who originally said he spent maybe fifty hours playing everything in the game then finishing one playthrough and complained the game had so little content, then earlier today while he was livestreaming the game he came across multiple areas at the start that he'd never been to before.

Who would've thought that rushing mainline through a game would make it end so quickly at 25 hours?

Dragons Dogma is not very hand holdy so I imagine it greatly varies person to person. I can beat Baldurs Gate 3 in 20 hours as well for example but thats not really the point is it.

To give you an idea of just how much you will miss, there is an entire game changing story arc with Ulrika that you can just never ever see if you rush main story, since you will never visit her again if you are only doing main story.

There are some reviews on the game already since ppl was given early access a week ago. One said that main story is like 50 hours total n completing the game 100% might take 100

HowLongToBeat.com says this about the first game. Maybe the sequel is similar.

Main Story 33 Hours
Main + Extra 53 Hours
Completionist 112 Hours

I had 174 hours in dark arisen.. I just played through the main story and dlc story twice. That's not counting whatever time I spent playing the playstation version before I got a pc capable of playing games. I imagine I will spend much more time with this one.

Yeah, 25 hours if you rush it. Don't rush, take your time and turn 25 hours into 100+, hell maybe even 500
MACIORELLA Mar 21, 2024 @ 1:43pm
There is a way more to do in the endgame i heard - main story is just the beginning...

This guy's general thoughts on games does tend to fall in line with my own a lot .

Edit : I put it here because he had roughly 60 hours and gives an actually damn good look into the game for its systems and such .
