What are your planned Builds?
Main Pawn is definitely going to get a Mage. If for no other reason than its easier than having to shuffle warriors/archer out every few levels than a mage.

As for my own Character, will probably start as an Archer or Melee, then move into Warfarer.
Yes, yes "BuT ThAtS nOt OpTiMaL"

Don't care.
The Versatility of a Warfarer feels like it could be really fun. More so depending on how you can string different Vocation's skills together.

i heard stats will reflect your vocation even if you change vocation. so no stat builds anymore

Sorcerer Master Class

Well, stats don’t matter anymore and are switched automatically. So I guess I’ll level them all at one point.

That's extremely weird. How are Warfarers done, then? Just a flat even spread across the board? That feels lazy.

wayfaring will be less optimized as specialization classes but they can do everything. its a matter of how you use your skills and comboing them.

Archer!

Yeah i made a thread about this and someone confirmed its much better, if you plan to use mage at all, to have your main pawn be the mage, so you have direct control over that build. Any fighter or dps pawn will be much easier to "shop" for

Mage or Melee.

Start as a fighter with a figher pawn. Probably move onto wayfarer at some point to recreate my assassin playstyle after leveling some of the other vocations.

My main pain is either staying as a fighter or warrior. Of course I will probably level his vocations up too for the passives if thats a thing in this game.

Planned Build ---> BIG SWORD!!
jidaeng Mar 21, 2024 @ 1:31pm
main pawn ... no need.. i don't need pawns, there are just annoying as hell and useless like in the first game.

I will play humm.. like in the first game only with throwblasts and explosive arrows. lol
You can one shot or 2 any mobs just with throwblasts, don't need magic or weapons or skills, just throwblasts lol

Don't underestimate melee pawn depth. If it's like the first game what skills they do or don't have can have just as big of an effect as any of the mage skills. You especially have to pay attention to their gear as compared to a mage.
Of course you can just pick just about anything and force it to work, but grabbing the right pawns with the right personalities, skills and gear made a huge difference.

Magic archer, since now it also has physical skills, it will probably be the most versatile class for underleveled party. Main pawn - Healing mage for earning crystals and boons. Hired pawns: archer for pure physical damage and dealing with flyers, fighter for holding aggro and tanking. I'll probably avoid warriors and sorcerers until mid-late game because they seem the most gear-dependent in the early stages. Late game I will switch both fighter and archer to 2 sorcerers for spell synching

mage 1-10 sorc 10-200. Or whenever I can change vocations. I imagine its similar to the first game where different vocations give different stats upon leveling and i want a glass cannon sorc.
