you are a clown. Capcom's profit margins are 35%, they make about 10 billions in profit per year
Genuinely would suggest putting on your best jack sparrow costume rather than going gray.
For example, I paid 30 GBP for Baldurs Gate 3 which i now have 130 hours hours in so in reality I spent 23P(29 Cents) per hour of entertainment for this experience, so really if i spend 70 USD for this game and i end up playing it a bunch(not to mention the possibly for replay-ability). In my mind yeah the upfront cost might be quite high but the value over time for a good game is really how I personally price games. I spend more money for public transport or going to the movies or really anything else in my day to day life.

because time is not a scale for fun
But thats fine, you're probably one of the idiots too busy sucking off Trudeau to ever pay attention to how inflation affects your life and how you are not required to accept it like the sheep you are. Microtransactions are bad too, I don't know why you are presenting them as a lesser evil or something that should be acceptable.
By the way...

"For example, between 1993 and 2001 the average cost for a new console game was $49.99, but in 2005 with the release of the Xbox 360 and PS3 that increased to $59.99..."
I don't know where you ever got the idea that games cost $95 in 2005, but you are flat out wrong. Maybe get an education so you don't look so stupid on the internet.
Um, have you seen the cost of things? $50 for a decent meal and a few drinks. Night at the movies is easily $40.
Bought groceries recently? Cost of living gets passed on to employers. People are expensive.
I don't think you understand how economics work.
Sure, the company is greedy. It is their job to make money. This game has been in development for many years and I'd gladly pay so they can make a ♥♥♥♥ ton of money and make Dragon's Dogma 3.
A fair price point is entirely subjective. IMO DD2 is worth 70$, meanwhile something like Iron Lung isn't even worth 6$. People love Iron Lung and would happily pay more for it to support the creator.
You do you, OP
I got it for $55 I think that is reasonable.
You paid $100? I didn't even see this game charging that much.
