About to pre-order and need to decide which to get. Is the extra $10 worth this extra content?...

The Deluxe Edition includes the base game and the add-on "A Boon for Adventurers - New Journey Pack".

It's worth is subjective. If you want to start the game with the bonus items, then it is worth it. If not, then you can always purchase some, if not all, the items later.

Not imo. One item, a ring, and some rift crystals for an extra $10. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I bought RE4R Deluxe Edition, and the bonus items were pretty useful but didn't make the game easy or w/e. I think DD2 will be the same way—just a little help for players in the early game and nothing more. So it's your decision if you want to spend $10 extra for it.

For the items: like everyone already said - depends. The Character Editor is nice imo.
But why not see it as supporting the devs? Sure, it's a big studio behind the game but you can show some extra support for the game series.

Absolutely not, you get nothing of value and really nothing you cannot get in the game by default. It is a waste of $10, do what you think is best

Absolutely not, thankfully. One can choose if one wants the early boosts yet those who do not will not miss out on much. There is no FOMO to be had here.

Deluxe editions typically consist of a few items to make the going a little easier at the beginning of the game. Why would you want to reduce the challenge? A lot of work goes into balancing and then immediately insert elements that throw off the balance? Never makes sense to me. Deluxe editions are never worth it.

Does this let us change our character's appearance anytime? Is this a single use item? We can't earn the ability to do this?

This was something we could do for free in the sequel. This will cost real money in DD2?
