Lack of enemy variety and other concerns
I'm pretty excited for the game but the fact that most reviewers are pointing to the lack of enemy variety worries me.
The game is very exploration focused, but having to go through the same places and face the exact same enemies that respawned makes me think that after a few hours it will feel like a chore "Great I have to go through X and fight the same goblin pack for the 15th time".

I can't help but think of Skyrim, you face the same few enemies for the most part (bandits, draugr and wolves) with a main quest with a pretty boring plot but makes you explore all over the world. Sure skyrim had veeerryyy basic combat, the most generic side quests known to man but most people enjoyed it, especially with mods.

Anyway, what are your thoughts about it? If you have already played the game please do tell if you ever felt bored or if exploring felt like a job you had to get done in order to proceed with a quest.

If the gameplay is good, it doesn't matter.
Look at how many players warframe still has - and people don't even see what they are killing 90% of the time.

you mention concerns then mention one of the biggest games in history. kinda weird to put as negs

If you don't like seeing the same thing, you're not gonna like this game I'm sorry to say.
Dragon's Dogma is a franchise worth playing, but fast travel is extremely limited and Enemies are based on location. You'll find lizardmen near rivers, wolves on plains and in forests, goblins near ruined areas, zombies at night, etc... You will see a lot of same "biome" (for the lack of a better term) and a lot of same type of enemies before you move on to the next. If variety is the only thing that matters to you then you won't enjoy this game.
Just because a game is good doesn't mean it's for everyone, and if running into packs of goblins 60 hours in just as frequently as at the onset of your journey is something that you absolutely cannot overlook, then you will not enjoy this game.

The first one didn't have this issue... I would be surprised if the 2nd one did.

Most people spam fast travel in skyrim, that's why it isn't as much of a concern there. DD2 has very few fast travel options so that's my concern, imagine having to face the same bandit camp every time you have to go to whiterun or having to climb high hrothgar and face the same ice troll

I don't expect tons of enemy variations for every mini biome or sub region, what concerns me is that many reviewers felt it important to mention the lack of variety. Anyway, I guess it's something I have to see for myself but I think it would be very annoying to clear a path and come back in not too long just to meet the same enemy

Reviewers? Remember when GTA4 got 10/10 and it was absolutely laughably bad? Yeah...

Bro I remember EA WRC, many reviewers said it was good and many straight up lied about features (force-feedback, vr and performace for example) and the game sucks so bad...
