RIP my i7 9700k
Still hoping that I can manage atleast 50ish fps in the open world with it and a RX 6800 but im expecting the worst at this point, especially considering the fact I hate using upscaling like FSR. Game looks amazing but damn does the performance look awful.

Well after seeing reports about horrible pc and console performance. Because of cpu issue with this title. Going to 50 to 30fps on pc. Imma bet you gonna get 20fps

It does have 8 cores but no multi threading, so it's not too bad. It should be alright in the open world since it's less busy than the city.

Just blame the devs for now, they basically admitted they screwed up

Yeah i have a feeling im screwed lol. If it runs poorly to a unplayable degree (under 40fps in combat) ill just refund and play through Dark Arisen until either a patch comes out or the far future when I can afford to drop over 600 usd on a new cpu, mobo, and psu

4090 rtx gives 43fps lmfao... what a demanding game.

according to a gaming magazine site an pc with 3600x and an 2070 Super gets around 77 fps in open world with Dlss and 67 fps without on Medium Settings 1080p

in citys however its like 47fps with dips to 21 also on medium 1080p

so i guess for your system you could add like maybe 15-20% performance

And you know it performs awful how? Oh let me guess more random potato pc reviewers with their "Im running a 4080 card and getting only 20 fps in town, game bad."

same reviewer who fails to mention he is also using a I5 gen 1 cpu, 8 GB of budget ram, a $30 Mobo from wish, and a 6 year old mechanical hard drive.

There are SOOO many people on youtube who pull this crap. Go watch someone who is reputable AND has a verified good gaming PC. I've seen at least 4 different review videos today from large content creators claiming they got 60-120 fps solid throughout the whole game and had zero issues. Don't buy into the trolling.....

How did the "CPU bound game" meme start on the forums?

this sounds like cope, several outlets have released performance analysis showing that the game runs awful on setups not using ultra high end cpus

I have no idea wtf you are talking about. I have a i787 and this thing has never seen above 70C when its rated for up to 100 nor has it ever gotten above 30-35% usage.

Probably being bottlenecked by the CPU. Because people are mentioning that raytracing doesn't make a difference in FPS, meaning the GPU is not the issue.

the 9700k is still a decent CPU. It's better than the minimum requirements and the PS5.

Try an all core overclock if you haven't already I have my i7 9700k set to 4.7ghz all cores.

Also ich spiele das Game auf 1440p mit einer 2080 Super und habe in der Stadt 45 - 50 fps
und ausserhalb komme ich auch schon mal auf 90FPS.

I've hit 150+ FPS sometimes on my I5 9700k with a RTX 3070 everything max no ray tracing with frame generation.Average around 130 fps in the wild In cities I average 90 FPS though the game still suffers from dips into about 70 FPS . The latest patch made it smoother though and it's rare for dips now.

I've overclocked my i5 9700k to 5ghz on all cores, overclocked ram and GPU.

Also running these launch parameters:

-useallavailablecores -gc.buffer 2048 -force-feature-level-11-0 -force-d3d11-no-singlethreaded -maxMem=16384 -high

I'm also using custom DLSS settings to 99% render scale so I keep my clear image at 1080 and have the FG still working.

The texture settings is high 0.5gb, didn't notice any change going higher so kept it lower. Enabling ray tracing has a big effect on FPS though and doesn't look that good I would keep that off.

I'm also running a mod to remove the lantern off your hip and pawns since it runs a ridiculous poly count for no reason, still keeps the light though.

I do run microwin as my debloated windows 11 though and tweak things just a tad to squeeze out as much performance as I can.

Screen shots of FPS. These are HDR also so that can also tank FPS since it's more colors and an enhanced image. It will look super bright cause the windows screenshot can't capture the proper image but you can see the FPS haha.
