Vram issues
Can I run it says I only have 6gb of Vram... which is odd because when I check my display I have 8.2 of Vram?

Say for instance Can I run it is correct, could I actually not run this game if I'm missing that 2gb of Vram even though I meet all the minimum requirements?

-Edit-
My specs

MSI GE63 Thin Laptop

Nvidea Geforce RTX 3060
16GB RAM
i7-10750H 2.60GHz

Nobody can answer for sure. Since we don't have the game.

But. I've seen games run below on systems with specs below min before. But chances are it won't or you'll have a lot of issues if you do.

The big issue with vram is its used to store textures. So if it runs into space issues with textures it will either not run or cause many other issues.

Possible there could be a extra low res texture pack as a mod In the future. Will make the game look worse but may be able to run with less vram

The specs require a card with 8gig total vram but it may not use it all based on settings. like most games. Lower rez and mod settings will use less. RT won't be a possibility without 10gig or more. And some reason at the test events on ones that were the PC version, RT was off and they didnt let people change settings.

Can I get a source on that PC info because from what I seen anything PC doesn't exist.

Why would you buy tho, and waste time downloading 100gb installing it etc when you can just wait for benchmarks 24 hours past launch or even earlier, they will deliberately test lower vram than 8gb. Just like RE4R which crashed sometimes.

You might be able to get away with a 1080p screen, with the game running at 720p upscaled, but if course it will look like vaseline all over the screen lol.

It wasn't but that's the thing - you possibly could, and it would indeed be worse than if using the recommended config.

e.g. My CPU is the only thing really dragging me down (10 or so years old now). When I go to "Can I run it" or whatever that site is, I can check "CyberPunk 2077" and see "No, you cannot play it"; same thing for Monster Hunter World, and RoboCop Rogue City.

What this really means though - is I can play the games (run CP2077 on mostly ultra and beat it, beat World, and played a few hours of RoboCop's demo). They just take ages to spin up after clicking "Play" (like - I wait for about 4 minutes for Monster Hunter to launch).

Personally - I grew up with bad tech and long ass loading times, so it just launching is all I care about. I am willing to click "Play" and wait an hour if it means I can at least play the game. Just a little choppier at times.

If you run into problems just lower graphics settings so you don't use as much vram. It might not look the best, but should work.

Vaseline hahaha, that's made my day thank you.
I i know i can still refund and i LOVED the first game that's why i bought it. We shall see what happens it seems. Regardless I don't mind tweaking down if that's what i have to do, i do have limits though...
