Why magic archer does not need to aim while archer needs to?
Basically I can play MA with a controller while archer is going to be tough without M&K it seems. can't they make aiming like in TLoU2 where you can basically make reticle stick to the target?

Am not sure how you are going to have trouble hitting things with how big enemies are in Dragons Dogma.

Magic archer doesn't need to aim because well.... It uses spells and not arrows.

Yes, not called MAGIC Archer for nothing.

Magic does magical things

Played a good bit of ranger in DD1 with a controller and it was pretty easy to aim, you could shoot almost a dozen arrows at a time, or some abilities with only 1 arrow still would slow motion the game and let you aim precisely.

I don't know at this point what the 'upgrades' to talents will be. Don't know if they will be the same, partially the same or totally different.

Magick bows can sometimes be harder to aim than a normal bow, it often locks on to body parts you don't want to hit and it can be tricky to get it to lock on to the correct part. Plus there were a lot of MA skills that required manual aiming too.
There was generous autoaim in DD1 and will likely be in DD2, on top of soft lock-on when you fire your bow without aiming it first. That said you can simply play with KB/M. DD1's KB/M controls were better than controller with a bit of rebinding and DD2 will hopefully follow suit.

Archer had a small crosshair.
Magick archer had a giant circle. Get enemies in circle and profit.

I like the archer. But I worry about difficulty of hitting body part I want with the controller. If there is some slow motion possible or autoaim is really good then it's fine. But I did not see it in 12 min videos of dd2. Magic archer had some good autoaim but not archer. I didn't see a prove of a slow motion yet to help in aiming. I wish it worked like for MA in dd2.

I can play archer with a keyboard. But ideally I would like to avoid it.

The game was designed to be used with a controller first, even on PC. (You should be fine with keyboard and mouse though).

With that said, they may have a form of aim assist built into it. As most controller focused shooters do. While DD2 is not a shooter, Archer can be consider to play like a Shooter.

I know Resident Evil 4 had it on standard difficulty. Which is the same engine as this game.

DD1 was also designed for controller and it ended up being better with KB/M, albeit with wonky default bindings.

No but dd2 is. It says as much In the character generator If you dont have a controller turned on.

That was a typo, the first game wasn't even on PC originally, it was designed for a controller as well.

I don't think DD2 will have difficulty levels as they talk about some dynamic difficulty. But if it does have higher difficulty levels, I hope they will allow all aim helpers on and not disable them on high difficulty.
