Does a video card with 6GB VRAM work?
Will the game run on an RTX 2060 video card with 6GB??? In STEAM's minimum specifications it is 8GB. I don't know if I should buy it in advance anymore.

probably not. its a very demanding game.

First, you shouldn't buy games in advance, and second, you're under the minimum spec so i would not get my hope up to run this game at a comfortable framerate ~ if you have a PS5 or an Xbox i would advise you to get it on these console.

You should be able to buy it during pre order and refund within 2 hours after playing starting at the release time.

It would work probably but how well it will work is another question.

Like it would probably work ok in some sections but when things get busier then it will likely be a noticeable performance drop. How big that is depending on things like your resolution setting etc.

Which resolution do you want to play at?

Also, I'd check other games using RE engine benchmark to figure out your potential fps

Agreed. I would expect it to 'work' but with lots of intensive stutter when things change in the environment. And I do not mean micro stuttering.

Why don't you just try the editor they released some days ago. That should give you an indication.

Dude I have 4gb gtx 1650.Just like Starfield I will make this game run at 30fps :VBCOOL:

If they list 8GB minimum, it probably has a reason. It's the RE Engine, which can be quite memory thirsty. And doesn't RE4:Remake even crash with too little VRAM? I thought, I heard something about that.

I'm going to buy it regardless for my 6GB GTX 1660ti. I intend to get a RTX 4 series card anyway in the near future.

The character creator auto-dropped my resolution down from 1920 and I put it back up again - I don't mind if I have to play the game in a lower resolution.

I'm not too concerned.

Probably will have to play at 720p if you gonna be short on vram before you buy at least 4070

Yeh, from memory, it auto-dropped me to 1280 x 720 to fit the memory limit (which is okay). When I get the game, I will continue to try and play in 1920 x 1080 and take it from there.

I have a 1060 6gb and i ran the editor at 2560p without major issues, only noticeable fps drop when zooming really close to the cloting and turning the camera
H-Foundry PIXIV Mar 13, 2024 @ 1:09pm
Just play fullscreen window 720p upscaled.

Then even turn down settings if you need to.

It will look like smeared vaseline but beggars can't be choosers. :locohappy:

The sad part if that Reshade doesn't work on this game, not on the Character Edit. I need to control vibrance, sharpness and bloom etc.
