EXACT RELEASE TIME?

I have tried to look up the exact release time but there are all sorts of varying answers on when it will release. Most media outlets are saying March 22nd but my steam page says March 21st. My steam account is US EST time zone but a post by a dev or someone with the correct answer would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. posting the release time in UTC would probably make it a lot easier for everyone to figure out the release for their respective time zones

you can see it on steam page it will literally say "releases in 1 hour"

if your timezone says March 21, it's March 21 {: for me it's March 22 but we are in a different timezone that's why.

@deviant I believe it’s too early for the steam page to display an exact countdown timer because mine only says march 21st with no timer

@kocayine I get that the release time displayed on steam is time zone dependent but I am trying to figure out the exact time down to the minute on when the game will release on the 21st for me.

no i meant when the game is gonna be 1 day before the release it will countdown like 24 hours/23/22/21/etc

@deviant yeah I understand that’s the way it works but I am trying to find out the exact release time now because I’m sure someone here has the correct information. The exact time it releases on the 21st will make a difference on whether I take some time off of work or not and finding that out now will make that possible rather than the day before release

how i see, i think but i can't be sure that the game will be available the 21 at midnight, but no ones knows the exact hour really, we have no information on this. Keep looking in the coming days {:

The 21/22nd thing is probably because it will release in Japan. Japan's time is 13 hours ahead of my time on the East Coast of the US. I'm expecting it to be released before Midnight on the 21rst, probably fairly late. Of course this is all speculation.

People can't read... OP wants to know the EXACT GMT DATETIME of the release.


Answer: No one knows. However the most common (and what all countdown timers use) would be: GMT+0 at: 2024-03-22:00:00:00

They aren't gonna post the exact release time until Steam has had a chance to download more RAM and disk space to accommodate the people who are going to be downloading it.

Steam updates it store at 1pm est, which is usually when the games unlock (from my experience).

I was wonder about same question and I can't find exact time since it's far from the release date. However, I can guess for possible time. Steam plans to releases on U.S at 21st and 22nd for Asian countries like Korea, Japan. So If this DD2 is going for global launch then it could be open 21st between 6am -10am PST ( between 21st 10pm - 22nd 2am for Japan). If game plans to releases on developers timezone then U.S release time could be after 5pm PST. This is just my guess from info I got. Let's hope for early release.
