Keyboard & Mouse?
Anyone got any idea how this will work on keyboard and mouse? I know it says it plays best on controller, but is support gonna be ass?

Default controls are going to be ass. Will it work great if you customize it to your liking? Probably.

Depends on how often you'll play and how good your memory is. It definitely isn't going to be as easy as a controller, but I liked the amount of control I had verse a controller in the original Dragon's Dogma, so considering this is supposed to be an upgrade, it should be just fine.

its PLAYABLE but not ENJOYABLE

Good keyboard and mouse support is essential. I won't be getting the game if they mess that up. Capcom did great with Resident Evil 4 remake, so we'll see

If they ditched MKB or screwed it up there will be a lot of refunds.
MKB is the default input on PC, controller is a Bonus and thats fine by me.
Should they force people to play on controllers, this will backfire on them.
If I wanted to play with a controller, I would buy a console.
Its 2024 this should not be an issue whatsoever.

How many more times do we have to see this question posted? Do everyone a favor and search for existing identical topics before throwing yours onto the pile.

This question should be repeated ad infinitum until we get a detailed answer from the devs or a video with PC gameplay that shows the controls menu. It's a make or break issue for this game for players who only like m/kb

For character control it will be good if you rebind the keys to match your hand size (as with any computer game). Capcom is actually good at doing that. I've done DD, monster hunter, RE, DMC on KBM with no issues. I beat DMC 4 and 5 in DMD difficulty on KBM, so that tells you the controls are actually responsive.

So honestly, I wouldn't worry about that.
What worries me however is the inventory and the UI in general. It's going to be abysmal as with any multiplateform game, but there really nothing we can do, no dev is going to design 2 UI so that we can use the mouse properly, unless the PC KBM UI was there first and gamepad support got added later.
We got a glimpse of it with the character creator and it's already not that great.

What kind of keybinds did you use for Devil May Cry games on m/kb? I've always wanted to play those games but it seemed pretty complicated

I played dragons dogma dark arisen on keyboard and mouse just fine. The only keybinds I switched was primary and secondary skills to the side buttons on my mouse.

There's much more motivation to use Steam Discussions as a platform for low-key self-proclaimed activism and developer "feedback" than as an online searchable source of information and opinions.

After all, why else would you see people deliberately ignore the guidelines by intentionally spamming/bumping threads based on how important they think the "issue" is.

I always found monster hunter a hard play on keyboard and mouse, same with Dynasty warriors

DD 1 was easy to use with a Kb and mouse.
