DD2 or Rise of Ronin...
Strange to have these two released in the same week.
I have commited to DD2 but RoR preview looked solid.

And my point is\was that the game (Rise of the Ronin) is charging 10€ higher than the (current) industry-standard. Why is it worth 10€ more than say, Dragons Dogma 2? It's just an insane pricing.
I wouldn't know. They are the same price for me. At the end of the day though the pricing is usually determined by the publisher not the creators of the game. The publishers are usually also the most greedy part of the company. I can't say if thats the case in this situation but it is what it is.

I specified '€', because I checked it in '€' (easy to do, just select Germany as a location in the bottom of the page), in my local currency (NOK), the difference is actually closer to 15€, lol...

While Dragons Dogma 2, is 70€.

I checked it in € because I thought it'd just be a regional pricing issue, but yeah. No. clearly not since the € price was indeed that overpriced... just insane.

Ninja team has a bad rep for being terrible at level design in their previous games.

obvious choice DD2 because Rise of Ronin is for PS5 only
caldona Mar 12, 2024 @ 5:04am
Well as somone who pays in € here in Austria its 75 for dd2 standart and 80 for Ronin on the PS5. And as (nearly)always the console version costs 10 more then the steam version 65€.

But its also to mention that the CD version of ps5 is only 70. And still if you buy the money card for PSN from resellers (~86-90€ for a 100€ card) and also the paypackpoints 4% from the stars in the psn store its still cheapter to buy ther if you dont want to keep it.

I choose Rise of Ronin why... this my lesson
1. Graphics better then DD2
2. The story from Japanese culture
3. Environments more details then Ghost of Tshushima
4. The big map not only about Japan theme but Western theme
5. Combat system
6. Sunset in Rise of Ronin remember me about Ghost of Tsushima and remember me about Japan, very beautiful Japan scenery this make me skill all games just play Rise of Ronin

i doubt ROR could have a large open world like RDR2 or Skyrim, it is more likely a semi open world game. And DD2, despite being only x4 larger map than the first game, it's probably an true open world game.

No Rise of Ronin are open world games same like Ghost of Tsushima, the big I think this will be same like Tsushima map yeah like RDR2 but the detail environments not better like RDR2.
But Ghost of Tsushima are beautiful games, Rise of Ronin will be same after I watch the preview video, Rise of Ronin much promises then DD2.
DD2 environments detail look old, in Gaming Bolt channel he compare with Horizon Forbidden West graphics, yeah DD2 very old graphics when compared with HFW and I think The Witcher 3 better then DD2 with ray tracing on.
I think I skip buy DD2, just want buy Rise of Ronin for PS5 and waiting video comparison HFW for PC version. If same, I will skip buy PC version just continue HFW in PS5 :D

You must see the preview video Rise of Ronin, in sunset weather wow the graphics are beautiful and the mountain background make me want explore the world

what is rise of ronin i never heard of it
- Mar 12, 2024 @ 6:08am
When I first saw the initial trailer for Rise of the Ronin a year ago, I was intrigued and wanted to try the game. However, after watching more recent gameplay and seeing how the game actually looks, my interest has waned. Additionally, since it's not available on PC, I won't be playing it.

Where Winds Meet, Phantom Blade Zero, Black Myth Wukong & Stellar Blade are the next games that have similar themes to rise of the ronin I am looking forward to.

It is a new, amazing game from Team Ninja set in feudal Japan. It looks pretty spectacular tbh.

Its personal preference. Idk RoR but DD2 is solo, so you dont lose anything for laying it down for other games every now and then. you could, realistically, just get both and play them in tandem. day on, day off kinda style. Its really up to you.

but if you want a completely and 100% biased opinion: DD2, I have been waiting for the game for 10 years now. as it was Silently confirmed back in 2016, 4 years after the 1st one, but only silently, so only a few of us caught wind of it till the official announcement. so I am extremely biased towards the game^^

I can only speak for myself, I intend to play DD2 day one, as for Ronin, i'm not interested tbh.
ANTI-ANIME Mar 12, 2024 @ 7:33am
Looks like more team ninja mid like wo long. Maybe if it hits a discount after the pc release I might pick it up but I’m not buying a clownstation just to play it early
