They've got a free trial you can play for 2 hours without even signing up, but the quality of the service is heavily reliant on your internet connection though.
Also, never trust anyone suggesting new programs to you if they give you a referral link. I'm just suggesting this because it's an amazing service in general. I've been grandathered in as a founder for years, and I honestly didn't see a thing about GeForce Now suddenly being SD ready till I stumbled upon it by accident.
RE Engine has surprisingly solid scalability, so there's hope that the fully released title will run well on Deck. I think it's fair to say Capcom is one of the developers that sees the value in targeting the Steam Deck as the "floor" or baseline for what the lowest supported specs should be.
There's no way this is true lol. Mine runs like a dream. Might wanna make sure you pop into desktop mode occasionally and get those updates. Also, you could be running low on storage space or something... Other than that, I can't fathom any issues you'd be encountering that I am not since all of our hardware is basically identical, and our experiences seem to be very different.

Photo proof, I've no reason to mislead anyone. You can also see from the technical advice I give in my post history that I'm quite tech savvy so it's not a matter of something like say, forgetting my TDP on 3 or accidentally setting my refresh rate to 45 and halving my FPS in the frame limiter or messing with my GPU settings lowering the clock rate preventing it from achieving its full power.
That's my hope and guess as well. RE4 Remake was rough at launch, but they were able to patch it up and make it run much better on the Deck.
From the fidelity of the graphics in the character creation, I'd hazard the tool is just tuned to high settings to make certain the game looks great when people experience the demo.
When the actual title launches, I'm hopeful that it will perform well. If I recall correctly, Capcom said in an interview at some point that part of their purpose in developing the RE Engine was more scalability to help performance on a wider variety of platforms.
But keep that in mind that the graphics settings are basically non existent outside of resolution. In the full game with more options like turning down shadows and whatnot and with FSR2/3, whichever the game will have, will likely run a lot better. RE4 remake is the latest game with this engine and it runs well on the deck from what I've heard so it should run the same, most likely slightly worse simply because it's gonna be open world.
