Denuvo and possibly no offline mode even if it will be a singleplayer...
Should I be worried about Denuvo and the internet connection requirements? Want to play this game but these are some major red flags Capcom. Plan on adding battle passes and other useless things?...

There will be no battle pass, as this is not a live service type game.

You don't have to connect to the internet to play, but if you want to play with pawns that other players make you would need to.

They do have generic pawns that won't need to go online to get access to.

Denuvo, personally its never affected my gameplay, there are those that swear it does though, and those that will refuse to buy anything with denuvo. Come to your own conclusion, not what someone else tells you.

1. You can play this game without being connected to the internet for the entirety of the game. You will just miss out on the Online functionality of being able to recruit other players pawns into your own game. If you play offline the game will give you preset pawns to choose from.
2. Denuvo does decrease performance to a certain extend which was proven on multiple occasions, mostly extra performance will be put on your cpu which means having a better cpu might lessen the blow. However it's not always so cut and clear in some instances the performance hit is negligible at best. If you want to play this game knowing your performance might take a hit it's understandable it's up to you.

While obviously nobody likes their performance to be worsened by a software, alot of developers obviously still choose to put this in the game because they want to make it harder for people to crack the game which in return means people are more inclined to buy the game themselves because they cant have it cracked in a few days so they feel more pressured into actually buying it for themselves. If everyone just cracked games that would obviously be bad for the industry...

You most likely have to connect to the internet for denuvo to check your files, how often that needs to be done is discretion from the developers/publisher, can be every time it launches, everyday, once a week, or more.

Unlikely theres a battlepass, or it would've been in the store already. If the game receives more content it will either be free or a new expansion, the game won't be live service but a single player experience.

Capcom always had micro transactions in their games, most of them are completely irrelevant, mostly costumes and skins, buying rift crystals online is probably not worth it, make your pawn well equipped, upload it, and in a few days you will get thousands of RFs.

Yes. You should be worried. When a developer throws Denuvo on a product it's a sign they don't have confidence in the product selling on its own merits.

Explain how protecting your product from thieves make you have less confidence in your product. :SerpentDesign:

or they are just sensibly protecting thier own investment from people who insist on getting things for free.

Ah, alright. Glad cleared the Online only part up. Good to hear it will have a offline mode to be able to play on. Still not so happy with that Denuvo software being thrown in.

It's hilarious, people bash a company for using a DRM like Denuvo... but not the pirates that are stealing from the publishers... and the working people.... the programmers who are probably overworked/underpaid.

Imagine defending a multi-million dollar company making their products worse for everyone that pays for them.

More worried about Denuvo for performance and also being able to add mods. Why Denuvo defenders jump straight to piracy.

denvuo doesn't prevent the use of mods, you can only not edit the exe file. any mod that edits the exe file shouldn't exist anyway.

"It doesn't prevent the use of mods, just a big subset of them"

Developers work on games for several years on end alot of hours put into games, they want to be paid for their work. if you dont understand this concept im not sure what to tell you.

Yes, they should add malware that drives off the customers who would pay but have no desire to inflict their computer with malware. That's going to make them more money...
