Could be a driver issue, or mem leak. Most things that are addressed really early.

I have a 3070 Ti, 8GB Vram but the game only considers 7 of them for whatever reason.

I wouldn't be too worried, though. A lot of RE Engine games recently, at least for me, have always given me "warnings" about "pushing settings too far" but I never got crashes or anything like that and performance wise they were all fine.

yea exactly it also showed 7GB ram for some reason

I'm also using 3070 and I got red bar as well. According to my past experience, this is not a problem at all. Won't cause any trouble so just ignore it.

you mean the character creation? My gpu only at 36% and cpu at 5%

You're right that this is a massive red flag considering the character creation only loads characters.
Try to imagine what's gonna happen with the full game... it was always gonna be like this with 8 gig cards

this is gonna be the 1st RE Engine open world(ish?) game, it's gonna be a completely different story

For anyone saying this doesn't matter, I've had the character creator crash on me twice now.

Like RE4R, it use high vram and can crash with Ray Tracing enabled but not w/o. You may experience bad performance though.

As far as console can only has 30fps, you should expect this game just run like ♥♥♥♥ in mid tier pc and the dev even not able to optimize the game for console, let alone pc.

That why be only character creation is available but not actual gameplay. We ve no way to verify but you can able to refund anyway.

for example when i go in hzd and check graphic settings it shows my avaible gpu memory is 7,95gb but dragona dogma 2 shows i got avaible 7.07 and i am capped at 6.95 so i would have 1 free gb avaible in memory and that would be fine but i am almost capped and this is only character creation menu this is massive red flag

This is my experience with Capcom

I heard people were getting crashes in the new RE4 if they were in the red. I only played the demo, so I can't really say.

But yeah, the settings here were confusing me. I got tired of messing with it and just chose balanced in the presets.

So when you look at display under options, it shows you the quality of your settings. The graphics memory doesn't make sense to me there. The numbers seem off.

But I did notice... when you look at PC Specs above Presets, that seems to give you a true reading for VRAM (In Use / Max)

If you look at right from the beginning in the main menu, it will show you using a lot less VRAM.

But then load a game and look at PC Specs and those numbers change. Walk around and check it out in different areas, it will show you different usage.

I haven't played the character creation, so I don't know what the menu is like.

8gb is unfortunately not enough. I wouldn't be shocked if 12gb ends up being insufficient in a year or two. there are already games out there that pull 10-11gb of vram at 1080p.

let's hope next gen nvidia cards come with more vram. considering the release of gddr7 we might see 50% more vram. so the rtx 5080 12gb version will maybe get a generous 18gb of vram

Game hasn't released.
All these stuff will be polished out upon release. It's normal for these things to happen.
