also they are free to sell you anything they want it's up to you to evaluate the value of the items they offer lol i wont buy the deluxe edition because the content does not justify the price in my eyes but other people might think about it differently
I find the Deluxe Edition myself redudant and useless but if capcom wants to sell something they are within their rights to do so we both are apparently smart enough to not buy this edition since its not giving you or me the value we expect from the money we spent on it so its really a non issue just be like me and buy the standard edition wont miss out on anything
A Boon for Adventurers - New Journey Pack:
- Explorer's Camping Kit - Camping Gear
- Dragon's Dogma Music & Sound Collection - Custom Sounds
- Harpysnare Smoke Beacons - Harpy Lure Item
- Heartfelt Pendant - A Thoughtful Gift
- Ambivalent Rift Incense - Change Pawn Inclinations
- Makeshift Gaol Key - Escape from gaol!
- Art of Metamorphosis - Character Editor
- Wakestone - Restore the dead to life! (A)
- 1500 Rift Crystals - Points to Spend Beyond the Rift
Definitely not necessary. Outside of the crystals, looks like something that will just assist in the first couple of hours of gameplay?
I could be wrong though. I think the main focus of content like this is just people that are willing to give a little extra to support the game and all that, that entails.
The game is going to be hard.. Itsuno said it is much harder than the first game and some early reviewers had already mentioned dying multiple times to the point of just cutting the video short and wanting to quit. The deluxe edition bonuses are fair, not exclusionary, but also good enough to give a nice power boost for people to have an easier time early game.
(and yeah, they're bad bonuses that aren't really worth the $. Even if it's only $10.)
edit: I've seen a bunch of JRPGs that have had "get some in-game consumables & boosts, sooner" as paid extras. But they're usually DLC, not 'deluxe edition'.)
