Additional vocations?
I see the Mystic Knight and the Assassin are missing from the vocations list. Do you think there are some vocations yet to be disclosed this close to release?

If no, think we'll see any additional vocations post-release as an expansion/DLC?

"Itsuno: So currently, we have 10 vocations announced and that’s as much as we currently have plans for at this point right now."

This was said by the developer so im assuming all the vocations on the website are the ones that we are getting

Dragon dogma 2 's class system is probably more party based than the first game.

Why do you say that?

They remove daggers from archer to force this class rely on melee class in area where bow cant shoot effectively.
They give us warfarer as the first jack of all trades option but with lower stats, so you still need a lot of grinds to make it viable in solo.
Tricker probably cant play solo just like other support classes.

In the first game, most non support classes are viable in solo

Ahhh gotcha. Well we'll have to see how the team dynamic works then. I'm not sure how I feel about archer having no daggers (no daggers or no melee option at all?)
Yeah they basically split the (lets be frank, OP) 'rogue' classes between melee and ranged; instead of Strider starting off with a bow you have the...'thief'? class, who has some of Assassin in them, and no bow.

Archer is basically just the advanced Ranger class, just again with no daggers as backup weapons. It does have some melee moves to reposition it away from enemies.

Magick Archer now basically has no melee capability, its all about shooting those magic arrows.

Wayfarer seems to have...all of them...? Besides Trickster. That's its own thing it looks like. But I have no idea on how it actually plays.

And since I'm listing changes anyways, seems like there's still a reason to keep a Mage around when you change into sorcerer...? Mage has the heals that I don't...think...will be usable by the Sorcerer, who is all about nuking and damaging the enemy now.

So what do archers and Magick archers do about melee? Hit enemies with their bow?

You can change vocation on button press

Archer has some kicks to do some damage but mostly to jump off an enemy and get away from them.

as you can see here in the first 4 seconds.

So just trying to stay far away from enemies seems like the intended experience, you aren't meant to be close enough to hit enemies to begin with.

Only if you go into a specific vocation "Warfarer" which can swap between 3 vocations at the cost of lower stats compared to the standalone vocation.
