Can I create multiple mains and hire my own pawns?
Back in DD1 I played it on console and created two accounts so I can hire my own pawns and played two games i paralel even into ng+. Can I do that in DD2?

yes, buy the game on one account then use Family Sharing to play the game on your other Steam accounts. Then you can rent your own pawns.

YES. You can cheat without using mods or cheats. Capcom's job was to prevent this, they are paying many DRM services to avoid this. But you already figured out how to break the game. Congratulations. ☕

You take playing by yourself to a whole new level.

If they don't have a character slot system you always have the alternative of backup save file X and start a new character. If the pawns are server side this in theory should work unless there tied to your steam ID/username.

We don't know because we have no idea what the online rental system in DD2 is like. It could be completely different. But this is possible in DD1

Yeah I hope there’s a slot system. If they follow DD1, I got to do the switheroo thing which is somewhat a pain. I just want more control over the pawns I get rather than depend on half my party behind randoms

I would like if it just came with that option by default without any roundabouts. The desire to create a full custom party came pretty fast for me when I first played Dragon's Dogma.

The Idea of a new bunch of adventurers who level up and acquire better equipment is something i's love to do.

I would love it as an option also! I did it in #1 by switching accounts. It was a pain but in the end worth it.

I don't think they're going to do it. If we listen to Itsuno's vision, the pawn system's goal is to offer an online/offline experience.

Like he said, he liked online party games and mmos but he had issues with the fact that you actually need 4 people ready to play and that you always have to wait for them if you want to continue playing together. I think the guy really had bad teammates and got traumatized by AFKers in the middle of a dungeon...

So his vision was that each player prepares a "virtual player" in their playthrough and then others will invite the virtual reflection.

This is why you can customize your pawn's personnality. And the questing help is pretty much an emulation of a player giving you advice on a quest he already encountered or a mob he already fought.

It's certainly unique, imagine a game that construct a AI from how you play and then that AI would play in your place online with other people.

It's pretty much the opposite of the dark souls multiplayer, where real people act like NPCs, they don't talk and just help you or murder you in a specific area, while you play solo the rest of the time.
