"anymore" being the important part.
When the original lets you have more than the sequel, crapcom stans are truly pathetic.

It's probably for gameplay purposes. Lower than a certain height could affect combat.

More likely to avoid pedo controversy, But yeah they had tons of hitbox issues in the first game. Peak gameplay was lowest height possible + Tornado spam. Majority the big enemies missed you by inches.

Pretty sure the average person probably thought dwarves but you do you dawg.

This has legit hurt my hype quite a bit. In the first game I always made my character tiny as possible to emulate child Link from OoT. My pawn was tiny as well so it felt like I was on an adventure that was a mixture of LoZ and The Goonies. They've taken this from me and I'm honestly considering getting a refund over this. Might sound silly to some but it's how I like to play and limiting the customisation when it was praised in the first game is mind boggling.

A classic fantasy RPG in which you are banned from making half the cast of Lord of the Rings. Alot of people will not be able to make their favorite characters I guess. But forget Tolkien, we can hire our favorite streamers as pawns! Who needs Link and Frodo when you have Asmongold?
Don't forget dwarfs. I mean, who would want to play as a dwarf in a fantasy setting anyway? that's just absurd!

How short are they supposed to go, anyway? 5 feet exactly? 4 foot 6? 4 feet? 3 feet? 2 feet? 6 inches? As small as your- nevermind, nobody cares about that.

RevalationSpace got the right answer: height is probably tied to mechanics again, just like the first game. Remember how height was tied to carry capacity, stamina usage, stride, and jumping height? Did I miss anything?

If your height is too short, even a double jump isn't going to let you reach some ledges and it might softlock the game if they have some main-quest jumping puzzles that require the ability to clear a certain minimum height.

It's the same problem with weight (aka, "sideways size"). Can't make a literal toothpick, can't make characters that are 600 lbs because duh. There have to be limits in place of some sort, and no matter where they place those limits someone is going to complain, so they've just decided to go with what works for their game mechanics rather than what works for social commentary.

Don't worry, as consolation they added Maximilian Dood to the game so now you can play with your favorite ecelebs. Reminder that every penny that goes toward this game is a penny telling big game industry this is what you truly want. Enjoy!

Tallest average for woman is in Holland at 5.6" USA/Canada is 5.3" or 5.4" depending on the source and asia is 5.2". I actually took a picture of his comment and shared it on discord because I thought it was funny. Clearly the guy hasn't seen his mother/sister/any real woman in a while.

False. It's about child-looking pawns. I never encountered a dwarf pawn in the rift, only hundreds of children in skimpy outfits.

I do think the shortest was 130-140 cm somewhere in that zone, probably 140 so 4ft7in

There didn't need to be "limits" cuz they made sure the main story progression was entirely possible by balancing the game around it, explorable side areas you had to get creative with short characters, taking double jump and the staff hover ability made it easy though when talls hardly needed to jump. Other things it effect was move speed, smaller were faster, weapon reach bigger characters had bigger weaponry! Scaling and jumping both on monsters and terrain it was faster to scale as a tallen! The biggest 1 is hit box, shortstacks have very small hit boxes thus were harder to hit. Knockback and stagger resistances, and your weight determined how you interacted with flying creatures, big characters max size and weight could prevent even large flyers from flying and could stop harpies easily by grapple, small characters could literally ride ev

harpies around the map and the lightest weight a super funny mechanic. Also harpies could run away and drop small characters but not large ones. Torches was a funny one, short characters in water lost their lights cuz short alot xD

The wind valley and wind based attackes were particularly rough on small characters to haha it was an amazing mechanic that was fun to work around but they didn't let us go as short how rude!

If that your real issue then why not be voicing for a filter so you don't have to see it without impacting other peoples games?, or no skimpy outfits in the first place?

I could see the appeal of making children and having a parent warrior/child squishy mage setup, paternal instincts are normal in adults and many in the western world don't have children. I can see the appeal of having a midget swinging a massive weapon, I can see the appeal of making dwarfs and halflings or w/e short fantasy race. I can see the appeal of people making a character that resembles them (including their height). 4"11 is usually the average 'Minimum height" with the average being between 5"2 and 5"4 depending on where you live.

I see nothing wrong with people asking for the ability to make characters to at the very least, within the minimum accepted height for a adult, nor do I see anything wrong for people wanting to make short kids/dwarfs/migets, w/e. I do see your point if your statement is true, but I think there's better ways to handle it then just remove anything bellow the average.

I mean, you act like jumping can't be controlled by a multiplier seperate from character height via IK snapping, but sure.

I was really kind of annoyed with that, myself. Like, really? I didn't recognize most the names, and of the ones I did, Fighting Cowboy was the only I would really expect to actually care about Dragon's Dogma beyond launch day. Although Snuffy might surprise there.
Max was an OUTRIGHT slap in the face given how generally wishy-washy he's been about DDDA before, and how often he just sorta glazes over on almost everything that's not a fighting game.

Throw Infinite Cringe some respect, and Nihil and Rift while you are at it. While they aren't massive creators, their persistence for Dragon's dogma is unmatched and it's kind of baffling they get no notice. Simply making a mention on the showcase that they were dedicated players who do a wonderful job of showing off the game, and then making official pawns for them, will drive people to some smaller more informative sources that are more directly a part of the community, instead of just random CCs who may or may not give a care.
It's really weird especially given Cringe's viewcounts relative to what Fighting Cowboy's normal content is. Sure there is less raw sub count, but actual views compete with Cowboy's easily, for the most part.

Having dwarves and hobbits just isn't realistic. We need more zoomer haircuts and twitch streamers in our fantasy games!
