Probably not. And your topic also made me remember that in the previous part there were no axes at all. There was only one axe-shaped two-handed sword. And judging by the description of the warrior class, there probably won't be axes in DD 2 either.

Well what I do know, is that in the previous DD game, the warrior class had not just greatswords; but also big freaking warhammers. So take that into the idea, of a Barbarian like class. As far as separate classes go? I do not think so. We shouldn't rule out that possibility though, considering we Know there's more classes to come, than just the nine we've learned about.

I like the more dexterity playstyle of a barbarian - focused on HP/HP regen, Fur armors, heavy belt and two axes smh simillar to dual class of Barbarian wild heart and Hunter from Dungeons and dragons i wish Dragons Dogma will offer more playstyles for melee and combine classes around more vibes to allow us define our gameplay and immersion with game.

Yeah that's prolly not going to happen unfortunately. Best you're gonna get is evasion-heavy dual daggers.

hmm... lets see.. maybe they will surprise us with some STR dual wielding classes. Hatchet throwing barbarian with shouts and jumps will fit the game. Just imagine the 2m jump with double kick like in WWE in centre of cyclop eye - how ff good it was?

I hope they surprise us with some more weapon types. I haven't seen mace nor hammer, and we lost magic shields and magic daggers (from mystic knight and magic archer).
And if the vocations are now like they described them, each vocation only has one weapon type, so you can't have vesatility like switching bow to dagger or equipping mace isntead of swords.
If there are no other classes (becasue we still don't know if we'll have more, we think, but really, we don't know ♥♥♥♥ for sure), that will severly reduce the gameplay of each vocation and for the pawns in paricular (since they'll only get a single dagger class and a single archer class).

Yes, dual axes. One is called Dragon's Dogma 2, a reason to install the game. The other is called Denuvo DRM, a great reason to uninstall it. Capcom has interfered with Hideaki Itsuno's work, giving you an idea of the incredible builds you can make. 💪🏻

I don't think it will happen. Dragon's Dogma has a very specific aesthetic, a mix of medieval, closer to Renaissance, with Cassardis being more inspired by ancient Greece. The barbarian aesthetic doesn't really fit with that. You still might be able to Fashion's Dogma a Thief into that aesthetic though. In DD1 there were plenty of raggedy barbarian like clothing and there was even a dagger weapon that was just two axe heads.

There's some footage of Fighter class using one handed maces. We also might be expecting a few more class reveals? The Trickster is represented by two colors that don't have associated classes yet, unlike the other advance vocations

We do, Itsuno stated in a interview there are more vocations to be revealed, he said this after trickster and Mystic Spearhand's reveals, If I find the interview and remember I'll link it here.

I saw that as well, but if I recall correctly, he said that when those vocations had only been shown briefly on video, they had not been properly showcased yet, so he could've easily been refering to them. Granted, he did say something like "and there are some other vocations player can't even imagine yet", I'm paraphrasing, but that was the idea. So, it would've certainly been a poor choice of words if he was referring to Trickster and Spearhand, but totally possible.

I tried looking and I still couldn't find it.

I believe this person to have the best speculation on the subject:

Due to how close his speculation chart would resonate with the original:

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3149728152

But if that doesn't turn out to be the case, I personally believe at minimum we will get 2 base classes for the trickster hybrid because it would be very weird to break the system they had in the first.

Of course as you say though, this is speculation and I try not to have any personal attachment to the idea of more vocations and will be happy with the ones shown as long as they have more skills and are just overall better.

based build, too bad you cant do that in this game.. at least for this game, this game have limited class build variations
Sad but Packin' Jan 31, 2024 @ 6:14pm
Alright, you win, there's definitely more than just 9 classes.
