Kingdom Come Deliverance is 1st person and the combat in that is amazing and really enjoyable. 3rd person is never as good as 1st. (it's like racing games, cockpit view is far better than the 'I'm floating behind my car' view)

Pretty sure kingdom come is based on actual fencing styles, dragons dogma has a bit more devil may cry in the combat, imagine that thief spin jump in first person.
