Items you get for preodering and Deluxe edition

[Karak Sonen]

Since people usually do not visit an game's main page, or do research beyond checking steam community threads, here's what all the pre order/ deluxe items do.

New Journey Pack -
Explorer's Camping kit
A special camping kit becomes available for purchase at shops in-game

1500 Rift Crystals
Can be used to hire pawns or purchase special items
(Can be farmed in-game. Most of those you'll get for people taking along your Pawn)

Dragon's dogma Music & Sound Collection
Just like other Capcom games, it replaces music and certain sounds with the first games versions.

Wakestone
Restores the dead to life
(If like the first game, works only one time and has some use for some quests. Can be farmed ingame)

Art of Metamorphosis
Edit the appearence of the Arisen or of your pawn
(Early unlock of the permanent customization upgrade. In the first game you got access to this in NG+ for Rift Crystals. You can buy one time use Secret of Metamorphosis Scrolls before NG+, probably will be the same in the Sequel)

Harpysnare Smoke Beacons
Emits a scent enticing to harpies
(No idea what it does, new item)

Ambivalent Rift Incense
Change your pawn's inclination
(Inclination determines how your Pawn will act. They'll pick this up by themselves over time, by sitting down and talking with them or by buying items to change it)

Heartfelt Pendant
Can be offered as a gift
(Probably used to max out someones reputation with you, causing them to end up being your romance interest. extremely important, as it's easy to get certain npc's to be your romance interest just by talking to them too often. Oh, Caxton, my beloved.)

Makeshift Gaol Key
Key to the gaol
(Probably used to escape the jail if you've been jailed.)


Both the Superior Weapons Quartet and the Ring of Assurance have no description on their webpage, but same to assume that it's just some golden Weapons you'll replace relatively fast and a ring with some stat boni.

Obtain an item that allows the Arisen to edit their own appearance or the appearance of a pawn. It can be used only once when visiting a barberie.

I wonder about that. Considering Capcom's recent stance on mods there is a possibility that it might disable online play.

there is no online play, there is no anti-cheat on first DD, but your pawn can get soft banned server side if you or your mods edit their stats and abilities ( you can disable your pawn to be shared for this situation )

Well aware of that, but that was the first DD. Second one might just outright disable any online interactivity for using mods, even if it does not affect pawn's stats.
Then again, that's up in the stars and to be observed once the game fully releases.

The harpy smoke beacons its probably just what it says it does, we have seen them using harpys to reach higher places like Talos. So they made an item that attracts them for convinience. Thats my theory at least
