Easiest way is to battle 2 player then enter the codes when the 2nd player doesnt continue. You could also do it the old fashioned beat the game way if your into that.

You can use keyboard and 1 controller IIRC been a while tho.

Is there not a way to have two players on keyboard?

No idea maybe adjusting settings in the below may help its from an old thread: LINK from the forums here..

Change the "FullKeyboard = 1" to "FullKeyboard = 2"

From there, your controller from Xbox 360 will be recognize as the second player and Keyboard as Player 1, So you will be able to release the 3 secret characters on UMK3.

tried it now and it stilll does not see my ps4 controller and my keyboard as two and just as one player

I have an xbox 1 and a xbox 360 for windows controller those both seem to work. Also you could try fiddling with settings in steam input but beyond fiddling and some of the things listed in the thread isnt much else can try. There are some settings specifically for certain controllers in steam input to play with too.

my ps4 controller does work but it also connets as player 1 for my keyboard
i just dont have a second controller so idk what to do to unlock those secret fighters
