You have do to a few extra to be able to play it.
- Uninstall both the games for marketplace and the live redistribution through your apps.
- Download the setup wizard for GFWL through either link
Windows 10: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=98609
Windows 8, maybe 7:
https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=201134
- Install it. (If you try to run it and sign in, it will more than likely crash)
- Run the game and press enter, a GFWL overlay will pop up and ask you to sign in or create a new account
- Sign in/create account. It will then tell you that you do not have the latest GFWL material and ask if you wish to install it.
- Hit yes. You will have to wait a bit for it to actually download but after it will tell you to quit and restart the game. Your instinct will be to probably use the force quit method in the steam window that pops up when you do shift+tab but what you should do instead is alt+ctrl+delete to pull up the task manager, close out of the task manager, and then right click on the icon in the taskbar to close it. Any other method doesn't allow it to properly tell the GFWL updater that it is closed (you may have to do the process of steps 6 through 8 again after closing it because the packets may not actually install, I had to)
- Sign in/create your account again. If you are creating an account you will be taken to a website very similar to how the Xbox one is layed out in order to do so
