Probally becouse it had many negative reviews becouse the game uses a drm (GFWL) and Some people have problem with it and the drm doesn't update becouse when you install the game,it installs a outdate version from GFWL,a problem that can be easyly solved by download the last version from GFWL from the official site from Microsoft. We can still play the game today with online multiplay working,There are some sites that you can buy a key for unlock the game to play on Steam.

also even on easiest difficulty its so hard in mk2 the opponent presumes and counters any different attack before even you think!!!

This games always sucked played against the AI. All, of them in my opinion, so that is not the reason it was removed, im sure.. I don't know why it was removed from steam. I am going to email them in regards.

gfwl stuff, but also these are the arcade versions of the game, so the ai completely ♥♥♥♥♥ your ♥♥♥♥ after a few enemies regardless of difficulty.

The game is broken, it was released when GFWL was a thing, GFWL was killed by Microsoft a few years ago, Netherrealm studios instead of fixing the game started to cry that it was Microsoft fault... So those who bought the game we are stuck with a non working game.... There is a workaround but is way too annoying....

i have found the game is no more difficult than the snes versions. once in a while, it gets pissy, and smacks ya around hard. change character, and a win results. also, uninstalling the online crap, it is lovely to enjoy the arcade versions again...cepts mk3 looks EXACTLY like snes. SO glad i grabbed this when i did...i knew id play it again eventually...i recommend!

There is no MK3 in this collection, there UMK3 which is not the same. A lot of fixes were made to MK3 plus more characters.

Also this far far to look like the SNES version, this is an emulation of the Arcade Roms. Way superior than any console port of the time

Midway was making a Mortal Kombat HD Kollection but when WB bought Midway it got cancelled. If you dont know who Midway was, it was the old studio before Netherrealm that worked on MK

Yes, but i has nothing to do, why Mk Arcade Kollection was removed... They were just too lazy to fix GFWL issue and most important to bring back the online, since it did relly on GFWL.

It's legal issues; games don't get removed by publishers just because people don't like them.

No, is not a legal issue. The game is broken (GFWL) and WB just don't care to fix it... You can buy the same game for Xbox One and PS store.
I have the game and unless you apply a xboxliveless patch, it won't go pass the ENTER screen..
