How to exit Fighter

So I'm with Gryphon, we made it through to the large door at the end but the plane won't land and I can't exit from it. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

That's by design. You have to kill the guards in the little basecamp area, then fly close to the big metal elevator door to trigger a cutscene. After the cutscene, you'll be out of the fighter.

I've killed everyone nothing is triggered.

If all the guards in that area are killed, the cutscene trigger will become active - though, there is one guard (who also needs to be killed) who won't appear until you kill the other guards and then break line of sight with him. To be sure you get him, you might try going back in the canyon until the basecamp is out of sight, then returning to the basecamp to see if he appears.
