Is the Dash Faction mod safe?

I'm a little uneasy with these things especially after clicking on the EXE from the Dash Faction site, which puts my security on alert. Is it just a false alarm?

As long as you downloaded it from FactionFiles.com (as linked from the Dash Faction installation guide: https://dashfaction.com ), yes it is safe. Unfortunately it's not the first time the executable has been falsely detected by a filter or AV product, though :(

To add, Dash Faction is actually open source software - meaning that you can review the source code for the project yourself, and could always compile it directly from that source code if you didn't trust the official installer executable for whatever reason (even though it is completely safe). If you'd like to have a look at the source code, it's available here: https://github.com/rafalh/dashfaction

Ah ok, thank you! Also I don't understand source code so it would like trying to understand Egyptian hieroglyphics for me haha!
