go for it bro, be sure to make a cheatproof multiplayer and i think youll a lot of people happy. Best multiplayer shooter ive played for sure. Most others are either too realistic or too much rocket shooting jumping all over the place type of games. Red faction had a nice balance between realistic and futuristic elements combined with very good weapons. The netcode was also a lot more solid then for example quakelive where 100+ ping is a major disadvantage. Even 300 ping in RF was more playable then 100 ping in quakelive.

THQ was closed down, the rights belong to Nordic Games now.

Volition is still around, though. Right now, they're being abused by Deep Silver with Saint's Row IV and Agents of Mayhem.

no just use an amd pc and even if the game dont support a modern graphics setting you can go to amd and tell it to override game settings and then enable mass or somthing makes teh game terain look a lot nicer

Its very unlikely the game will receive a remake due to because no matter who owns it, THQ confirmed they have abandoned the franchise in 2011. They only reason why they remastered Red Faction Guerilla recently was because it preformened, extremely well and got acclaim.

However chances of a new Red Faction or remake is slim.

That THQ was responding to the failure of Armageddon. Oh, and that THQ is dead and buried.

On the other hand, the modern THQ (formerly Nordic Games) has a track record of using "remasters" as a foot in the door to make new entries to their newly acquired IPs. Just take a look at Darksiders, which is essentially a core pillar of their company now.

According to some Nvidia Ansel leaks, "RED FACTION: EVOLUTION" is closer than you think.
