BEST SETTINGS FOR THE MODERN PC

1) Once you have installed the game is launch it then exit.

2) Download the unofficial patch Dash faction. very easy to install just run the program it should detect red faction as installed on your system automatically but save it to the red faction folder anyway.

3) Right click desktop. click your gpu settings. Low latency mode on ultra. 4x 1080 by 1920. add sharpness if you want mines on and at 33% .

4) Now launch the game as normal from steam. it should pop up with the dash faction launcher which is great as steam will correctly log your time played the usual way even though you are using a patch. Go into the launcher's settings and change it from 16bit to 32bit. Set your correct native resolution and max frame rate to whatever your monitor is capable of.

5) Let the story take you. Become Parker. The red faction will certainly lose without you. you are the beacon of hope that so many rely on. Do it for the working man. Do it for red faction!

Let me know if i have missed any tweaks or setup options. Enjoy this wonderful homage to games like half life. good shooters with basic but really immersive game play due to the constant narrative and outstanding level design. Not to even mention the amazing music. some tunes are very similair to dredd 2012 movie which came out over a decade after. Retro sci fi made modern done right!
