Servers?

What happened to most of the server's? Either im blind or a good 2 or 3 of the normally populated servers have vanished?

Hi there,

You may be using the default server tracker (which only has 2 servers), rather than the community tracker (which is where all the servers are).

If you haven't already, you should install the Dash Faction patch (instructions here: https://www.redfactionwiki.com/wiki/Dash_Faction_Installation_Guide), then when you go to "Options" in the Dash Faction launcher, hit "Reset" on Multiplayer Tracker. That will set your multiplayer tracker to rfgt.factionfiles.com (the community tracker)

Other than that, there have been 2 server operators recently who have stopped hosting, Legend and AFaction. The folks behind the Legend servers are still active in the community, so I wouldn't be surprised if those return at some point. The operator of AFaction told me personally that he has decided to stop hosting servers, so unless he has a change of heart I expect those are gone for good.

As an aside, you probably want to join the community Discord as well - there's an invite link here: https://discord.gg/fRrUzuV That's where the community lives, and if you have any questions on servers, or really anything else to do with the RF series, that'd be the place to get help.

Yeah, i have the tracker as what it should be, i used to play on legend and A-faction often. :( pity they're gone.

No worries!

Even though those servers aren't up, there are several other servers still up and active with effectively the same settings. LAZYS WEIRD SERVER is very similar to AFaction, and the FactionFiles classic servers are the same config as Legend. (ie. the normal, unmodified game)
