How to read the extras?

I was wondering if there is a recommended order to play and read the books that appear on the extras as progressing in the novel (let me know if it is or not necessary althoug I'll read them in any case). Is better to read after chapters or after finishing the entire novel?

Read the extras as you unlock them, simple as that.

Read them when they become available. Sometimes the main story directly references the events of those chapters.

I read them after I finished the full story when I went through it on PS4 and that worked fine for me, but seeing what others said before me, reading them as you unlock them might be better. It think it's fine either way.
