Glaciered

Beat the demo!
I've been waiting a long time for this one, and the demo was great. I did find it more difficult than I expected, but enjoyed it either way.

It's a very unique game and the under water aesthetic and vibe just seals the deal, so I'm definitely gonna be here day 1.

The combat seemed a lot more like dark souls, I found the dodge had to be pretty specific and levelling up made a huge difference. Stamina was usually drained and one to two hits did me in most times. I'm not complaining, I just assumed for whatever reason that it was more like devil may cry, but so far it seemed a lot more like dark souls underwater

Just wondering if the game is more of an open map, or is it mostly like the demo areas, and a bit of a silly question, can you ever poke your head out into the surface?

Reminded me a ton of Ecco Defender of the Future, and I'm excited for full launch!

I'll take any combat tips too!

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, the demo area is basically just a tutorial path, so it's very linear and exploration is limited. But the next area and so on is much bigger and more open. Not super wide as AAA open world games, but the feeling of size is similar to Dark Souls. More loot and more eventful.

Stamina management is a bit strict by design, but there are a bunch of options that increase your max stamina.

- Invest in Heart & Lung stat. It increases your maximum stamina value.
- Get mutations (passive skills) that reduce your Stamina consumption under certain conditions.
- Forge your wings and add treats to them. It has some traits that increase your Heart & Lung or max Stamina.

So it depends on character build. Stamina min-max build should have tons of Stamina.
