Do NOT play with gamepad
Really. Why the hell does the game recommend to play with a gamepad? It's absolutely impossible to aim & shoot while you're jumping into one direction. Also, aiming is cancer compared to mouse.

Agreed. I can play the game much better with kb/mouse aim.

And shooting doesn't even work for.

Many developers recommend playing their indie platformers with the a gamepad, just because their titles are made with PlayStation Network / XBLA in mind and they generally don't put much consideration in PC controls. Super Meat Boy also recommends playing with a gamepad, even ridiculing keyboard players. Which is strange. What I think is ridiculous, is aiming with an analog stick.

tl;dr:
720p console ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, PC gaming master race.

That makes sense. Joke's on them, though: analog stickers are not and will never be optimal for platforming. The precision you can get from your keys is unrivalled.

In 3D platforming analog has always been better (and thus gamepad>keyboard in those cases). In 2D it depends on the game using digital input or not.

I think the point here is that you have to aim weapons in this game, besies that is controller perpectly okay.

Agreed, I totally forgot about those. But it makes no sense to use analog controllers to play games that don't admit more inputs than plain up-down-left-right.

Platforming games are way easier with gamepad for me.
Oh, and shove the elitism down your throat, play with what's most comfortable, not to the ramblings of egoists with a delusional sense of superiority.

Well, excuse me but if you can actually aim and shoot into one direction while you're jumping into another one without losing precision, you're my new god now XD

If you master aiming with the gamepad, you'll become an expert of aiming with anything else. The gamepad is for training purposes.
