why are songs to have in game so expensive ?

Licensing fees is not free. My wife and I would buy karaoke CDs and they were very expensive too. I am going to guess these game songs are along the same lines.

Also- I avoided the rock-type games because of the fake guitar-like controller and did not use real instruments. This game may change my mind if it really works. I played bass for years, but always sucked at it. Maybe this can help? Probably not. Could be fun all the same.

There's not really any excuse to have £3 odd per song when rock band does it for £0.99 (or less), and an extra £0.99 if you want pro instrument tracks.

I think it will help. I've been playing Guitar/Bass for 20+ years, and it's helped me. Mainly because it so much fun it's givin me a reason to practice.

I'm very disapointed in the DLC price.....and they are all good song's also...

The game work's perfectly.....i have never touched a guitar in my life and already feel like i'm learning something.

Yeh they seem very pricy and I don't think I will be getting any DLC, unless there gonna price match RockBand3 pro prices

I would have bought 2/3 of the DLC already if it weren't so pricey. The songs that are included are nice but the DLC is would make it 100% better still the price is what puts me off. Seriously 50% of the price I already paid for?

The price isn't that bad, Rockband probably can sell for that low because it's a pretty popular game (well, probably more popular than this) and hence the price can be syndicated.

Lets not forget, rock band, they only had to program it for 5 buttons. Think of how much more goes into each song on this, and how much more time you'd spend playing each song.

Yes, most of the songs in Rocksmith have at least 2 guitar arrangements and one bass arrangement. It's definitely more work than what they had to do to songs for Rock Band.

No. They only contain 40 of the songs. (15, 15 and 10). The total number of DLC songs is closer to 60 or 70.
