Can't get past sound check
After successfully tuning, rocksmith won't recognize any strings I am playing. Any suggestions? I've tried it without any external screens.

This is a common glitch, it has to do with the cable not registering correctly. Go to your sound settings, find your RealTone Cable, it usually labeled as "Rocksmith USB Guitar Adapter", make sure Windows has it clicked on, if not, hit the circle to pick it as a choice on your input side, this may solve part one of your issue, if not click into "Rocksmith USB Guitar Adapter, ensure that the settings to allow audio is on allow, or that the only option available for general is 'Don't allow', check the format, change the format to "1 channels, 16 bit, 48000 Hz (DVD Quality), if it is on that choice, change it one step down from the quality, Rocksmith sometimes has a quality issue, it is random on that, ensure that the "Input Volume" is on 100%, then test the mic through the "Microphone test", you are just looking for any vibration detection.

All of that should have worked, if not on "Audio enhancements" turn off "Voice Focus", or depending on the version of Windows you have, turn off any special Audio enhancement settings.

If that does not work, go into your search of the Windows start menu, search for Sound, you will want to get a program called "Change System Sound". Once in Change System Sound, go to the "Recording Tab", right click on "Properties", go to the tab "Advance", ensure that the best quality sound input is selected, '1 channel, 16 bit, 48000 Hz (DVD Quality)', on the "Exclusive Mode", you should have 'Allow application to take exclusive control of this device' option on, as well as 'Give exclusive mode applications priority'.

Before hitting apply, check your 'Levels' tab, ensure it is on 100%, hit apply, and hit me up to let me know if it works.
