Rocksmith dlc

Hi everyone,

I bought the game due to it being removed today but I had some questions about the dlcs.
Does the import tool only transfer owned DLCs? Do I need to buy all dlcs to be able to play them possibly in this game/the other Rocksmith game? Are there any dlc songs that you recommend?

The import "tool" transfers the on-disc content that comes from base Rocksmith 2011 (50 songs prepackaged), to the remastered Rocksmith 2014. Any dlc u buy from the Rocksmith 2011 page automatically gets installed for 2014 as well.

No problem! I hope I gave out the right information lmao, although I'm pretty sure that's how it was done. As for the dlc songs you want recommendations for, are you looking for anything genre or style specific? Good for practice? Etc.

Yeah you did give the right information, I was just wondering what imports over, thanks for clearing it up. For recommendations, any that are good for practice and what you prefer currently/any popular ones? Thanks again :)

From the Rocksmith 2012 DLC page I picked out some good ones for practice:

Survivor - Eye of the Tiger
Kansas - Carry On Wayward Son
Eric Johnson - Cliffs of Dover (hard)
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Free Bird
Boston - More than a Feeling
Deep Purple - Smoke on the Water
Evanescence - Bring Me to Life
Avenged Sevenfold 3 Song Pack
Judas Priest painkiller (or 3 song pack)
The Offspring - Self Esteem (or song pack)
Queen 5 song pack
Europe - The Final Countdown
Heart - Barracuda

These are pretty good ones, at least in my opinion. But without a sale, it can get pretty pricey.

What ever songs you like and want to Play. Rocksmith is so good its crazy. Ive been playing over 40 years and this program is incredible. The sounds you can develop with Tone Designer itself is crazy better then the wall of effects I have.

Why only let me know after taking the dlc out of the store?

what's the point of having a page to warn of the removal of the songs, if you update a day after removing the same??? I missed buying a dlc because I didn't have any notice. Seriously, very sad about this. I'm talking about the 3 doors down package

Sale for the 2014 one, but nothing for the RS1 DLC'S. Yeah, I give up on rocksmith and my collection. I refuse to give ubisoft another penny. You are losing customers because of these wrong choices!

Talk about anti-consumer...

So yeah Ubisoft started to "announce" the removals of the DLCs for this game piece by piece on a community thread on their homepage

Just two hours ago (on the 7th of march) they "announced" the removal of 3 Doors Down DLCs dated on 6th of march. That, ladies and gentlemen, is one of the worst anti-consumer decisions ever made in the entire history of the video game industry.

PS: give us a last chance of buying them or you can count on me not spending a single penny on the rest of the DLCs anymore - while I actually had the intention of buying them all. I just wanted to have some sort of financial planning ahead to do so but yeah, thanks for nothing I guess.
